Oblivion post patch duplication

Maybe "breaking" the game in another way? What benefit is there keeping the resto-loop? People think it's fun. What benefit is there in removing it? I just don't get what's fun from turning any game into god mode using exploits.

Those type of people reminds me of this one guy in gamefaqs that tries to use every exploit he can on many RPGs. Just think of it for a moment. Only takes longer. What's the point? You don't have to "get" why some people find it fun. I've explained it in previous posts diegesis, approaching TES mechanics as a puzzle to be solved, etc , but you finding it fun is not required. Other people find it fun. That in of itself is a benefit to not removing it. The question I asked, which you completely avoided, is "What benefit is there in removing it?

BowserCuffs posted Because it is a bug This is pretty much all that needs to be said. Absolutely not. As I've stated in previous posts, which it would seem you didn't read, many games have advantageous "bugs". SF2 combos were "bugs". Starsiege Tribes skiing was a bug. Now, they're integral, entertaining parts of their respective series'. Only detrimental bugs should be removed. That much is obvious.

Why do you think it's still in the game after a dozen Bethesda patches? Why do you think it made it through testing, when an identical exploit in Potion form existed in Morrowwind? Here's a hint; Bethesda is an actual developer, and they recognize a fix they don't need to implement when they see one. When Morrowind was released, Bethesda was down to six employees and nearly bankrupt. I really doubt they did much testing. In addition, this "feature" was mysteriously absent from Oblivion.

If preserving this exploit is so goshdarn important to you, then use the tools available to reverse or overwrite the USKP, or just don't use it at all and forgo all the other bugs it fixes.

Despite what others may claim, we don't try to "dictate" how people try to play the game; we just fix bugs and yes, it is a bug.

What do you mean it's not symbolic?! How much testing they did to Morrowind is irrelevant. You missed the point entirely; the point being that is existence in Morrowind is a strong indication that the Skyrim QA team knew about the same loop-based exploit in Skyrim, and did nothing. As I'm sure many other people plan to do, as well.

Doing that doesn't mean I can't explain why it shouldn't be patched, and explain why people voice their objections re: so artfully called "complaining" by the TC over it. JonicArc posted Only the ones that you actually discovered yourself, with no help from anyone else or using the internet. If you read about it on Gamefaqs, or Youtube, or any other page on the internet, or were told about it by one of your friends, or in any fashion learned about it other than finding it all on your own, whether by accident or intuiting it, then you didn't earn it, and you're cheating just as badly as using the console, sorry.

You didn't earn it. You're cheating. Have a nice day. It just simply is that correct. I won't use this resto-loop because I found it here. Items are lost because they are never added to the save file, and it is therefore impossible to retrieve them.

It is recommended that players resume play using a save from before rollover occurred. This patch is incompatible with the Version 1. Therefore, anyone who previously installed the version 1.

Reinstall Oblivion in the following order:. It has also been reported that instead of a complete uninstall it is possible to just rename the "Oblivion.

See Reference Bug for information on other unofficial and temporary fixes that are currently available and that do not require a complete uninstall of Oblivion. This is a beta patch, and therefore will not be released on Xbox Live. Xbox users need to wait until Bethesda releases an official patch and Microsoft approves its release over Xbox Live. Version 1. Once a deer attacked me and destroyed me. True story. It was so funny.

Also I found a Giant Mudcrab. It's in a cave called Greenmead Cave. That cave also has some good treasure in it. But, one of the bast thing: modding your horse: You change horses in dragons You can fly everywhere, and also make burn little guards!

You can fly on city! Coolant Forerunner. Assuming you have knowledge of the game already.. Please don't do these without completing the game already. It takes away the fun and the challenge of Oblivion. Once you've completed it or are looking for a fun thing to do with a new character, give these a try. Duplication Post-Patch Get a number of any scroll and have something other than them equipped.

Go into your inventory, click twice on the scrolls and drop whichever item you would like duplicated. That's it, easy as pie. The amount of scrolls you have determines the amount of copies.

Begin with a CE enchanted item, preferrablly a ring or amulet, and duplicate it two scrolls only using the above method. You will have two copies of your item. Equip one of them, and start to preform the duplication glitch again four scrolls only, explained later. Once you've clicked them twice, drop the unequipped item. The other should be taken out of your inventory also.

On the floor should be the two copies of your item 2 , but the enchantment should still be effecting you. This works because the game wants to drop in multiples to make things easier on you. Instead of dropping one item and leaving the other plus the duplicated ones making 1 item and one group of two items , it unequips the equipted one to make two groups of two items. The enchantment stays on when an item is removed by something other than the player.

It cannot be taken off.
