Roundcube-core does not ask for the mysql root password. It just skips it altogether and fails. It asks for the root database user name.. I tried everything above.. Followed every instruction. After lots of wasted time.. For anyone with the same issue: Either manually or thru phpmyadmin - make sure there is no roundcube database listed. Log in.
